We had an outstanding experience at Mike Anderson’s in Prairieville, and a huge part of that was our waiter, Zane! From the moment we were seated, Zane was friendly, attentive, and incredibly professional. He made sure our drinks stayed full, our food came out perfectly, and he checked on us just the right amount without ever being intrusive. Zane was knowledgeable about the menu and gave great recommendations, which made our meal even better. His positive attitude and genuine care for our table truly stood out and made us feel welcomed and valued. It’s service like his that keeps us coming back. We had a family birthday dinner here that Bryce helped us set up. Desiree, the location manager, greeted us. We had two wonderful servers, Molly & Derrick. They did an amazing job serving the 19 of us. The drinks and food were wonderful. They allowed us to bring our own cake, which they provided plates and forks for. Valentine’s Day 2026 was a great time due to the excellent food and incredible service. I want to give a thank you and express gratefulness to Kelsey our server who went out of her way making our Widows group of 8 ladies enjoy a wonderful meal! She was so good!!!!
Omg best overall flavor and atmosphere. I’ve lived in Louisiana for 30 yrs and this will always be a favorite. I don’t care if you’re from the Louisiana or the North Pole; you’ll find something on the menu that caters to your personal taste and will leave you with that feeling of after dinner euphoria that makes you wanna take a nap and dream about what just happened. There’s lots of options regarding how they cook their dishes- blackened, grilled, pan sautéed, fried, etc. They offer boiled crawfish when in season. I ordered the Joliet Rouge and so buttery delicious that my tastebuds experienced a joy that they will never forget. I wax so happy and full, but let’s order desert anyway. Good choice, the bread pudding is a perfect finish to a perfect dinner. It’s pretty big, so definitely big enough to split with other people at your table (only if you like them enough to share). Side note: I love the Live Oak Trees in the back. Perfect touch of Southern charm to add to the perfect touch of Southern flavor. Dinner was so good I completely forgot to take pictures—which probably says everything.
The managerment and staff were truly amazing. They served 36 members of our family and they didn't miss a beat. They went above and beyond for my son's surprise engagement. I will visit again and I have highly recommended them to my friends.
What an amazing experience!!!. I make it a habit to visit Mike Anderson‘s every time. I’m in Baton Rouge. It is one of my favorite Staples however; this visit was special. I came to Baton Rouge for a family reunion and made my regular stop at the restaurant for the stuffed crab. This time, my stuffed crab was served with exceptional service from Camryn my Waitress and an amazing visit from the restaurant manager, Pam. I want to point out that two managers visited my table during my visit, however Pam made this visit feel like home. My service was exceptional. Camryn served us with a smile and patience that is obviously reflective of the standard that has been set by this team. We will be back (to Prairieville) and we will continue to support the Mike Anderson‘s brand of restaurants.
Cam was the best waiter. He took great care of us. Friendly. Checked on us continuously. Noninvasive. Great food advise. Drinks and water never ran out. Took our dishes off the table before we were wishing they were gone. Etc… Top notch! He helped make our experience awesome. Atmosphere got a 3 because we were in the bar area and there was a huge party in there with us (we were a 4-top). We had a little difficulty hearing each other (being on the other side of 50 doesn’t help with that.
Had the most delicious brunch and even better service today. Sue was a wonderful server, very attentive and personable. She gave great recommendations as well. Derrick and Kiara (the hostess) were also great! The shrimp and grits were delicious!
The fried seafood platter was good! Our party of six had no complaints! Waiter kept our glasses full and was very helpful! The blackened dishes can be ordered with less seasonings if you prefer! The evening that we were there everything was tasty and not over cooked!
We came here straight from work and made it around 8:45pm. We were one of the last people in that restaurant but our waiter Kisha never made us felt rushed!! Food all came out at 9:15pm and honeyyyy everything was TOOOO good! Definitely will be coming back!!
